Pompei and Amalfi Coast

This day is for you to enjoy the archaeological site of Pompeii and see the most important towns on the Amalfi coast.

Your English speaking driver will meet you at your hotel (either in Naples, Sorrento or any town on the Amalfi coast) and drives you to most famous ancient town in the world that was covered by ashes of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the year 79 A.C. and has been captivating archaeologists and visitors from all over the world since excavations began. You will see Mt. Vesuvius from a distance, walk through the extensive ruins of Pompeii, and gain knowledge and understanding of everyday life in the ancient times.

After the morning visit to Pompeii, you will drive along the coast to the most important town of Sorrento, where you enjoy rest of your morning walking in the main square, window shop, enjoy a beautiful view of the bay of Naples and have a typical Italian lunch. The day continues with a drive along the coast of Amalfi to Positano, the most beautiful seaside village of the coast, where you can spend the afternoon shopping, photography and simply strolling the narrow streets of this charming villages before heading back to your hotel.

*** You can get the tickets to sites on the spot – Euro 11 per person for Pompeii Please note you can replace Pompeii with Herculaneum.

This tour requires extensive walking over uneven pavement, and we recommend you wear comfortable shoes.
